Ok, vorweg, er erfindet das Rad nicht neu, auch kein Hoverboard oder sowas. Es ist ein klassisches Hip Hop Album mit Boom Bap Beats. Wer sowas nicht mag, nicht kaufen. Wer noch Hip Hop mag und nach einem dopen Hip Hop Album sucht, das aus halbwegs zeitgemäss klingt, nicht aus Atlanta ist und nicht “feminin” ist etc.(kurz: für alle die nix mit J5,Kanye, T.I. und sonstwas wirklich anfangen können) Alchemist- Chemical Warfare, cop it! Vor allem für die vielen DJs da draussen…checkts euch das Album, ihr müsst dann auch nie wieder im Roxy irgendwelche Tracks aus den 90ern spielen. Feels the same, just that it’s brand new!

Über andere Sachen beim DIF, das wirklich trotz scheiss Sound grossartig war, schreib ich nicht, aber EPMD live zu erleben…

ok..sagen wir es so…Messi ist ca. 8mal 2 Meter von mir entfernt gestanden, genauso Iniesta und was weiss ich, genauso Premo, Guru etc….aber bei Erick Sermon wars was anderes…wahrscheinlich weil er ca. 1.90 und grösser und fester ist..keine Ahnung..aber in dem Alter so ein Fantum wie mit 14 zu haben…im Windschatten zu gehen um ihm die Hand zu geben…fuck….irgendwie lächerlich…aber was solls.

I felt like 14…ich bin im Nachhinein froh, dass als ich 14-15 war EPMD nie nach Wien kamen, weil das wäre gar nicht gegangen. EPMD live, whole different ball game. Rap is outta control!

‘Void‘ LP player spins records in midair like musical UFOs..

Inspired by the Vinyl Killer, which is currently the smallest record player in the world, Korean designer Rhea Jeong’s “Void” LP player would have records spinning in midair above it. Here’s the plan, according to Designboom, who Jeong sent the design to:

The record player uses a carrier and dock outfitted with a magnetic and auto-calibrating control system which carries the LP into thin air as it is playing music. A self-running record player shaped in the form of a red sphere, contains a needle, amplifier and speaker, spins around the record, bringing the music to life.

There’s even a control on the player’s base to control how high the record spins. It’s a wild design, for sure, but one that we hope becomes a reality one day.
