Vor ca 2 Jahren hab ich Dj Conikt während seiner Tour mit Oddisee und Kev Brown in der Kapu getroffen. Er hat mir damals schon von diesem “ThinkLoud” is “Droppin Mirrors” Samlper erzählt. Besonders freut es mich, dass er nun auch auf Vinyl veröffentlicht wird. Zu hören sind Aloe Blacc, Grand Agent, Trek Life, Portformat, Shuanise usw…

…unter anderem auch eine Beat von Fid Mella (”Girl”) mit Raps von Kev Brown & Oddisee Kaimbr. edit: Die Promo mp3 ist falsch getagt..

In Anbetracht des Titels könnte man gleich die Frage stellen wie lange es wohl dauern wird bis diese EP namens „Album Fail“ auf einschlägigen Blogs auftauchen wird. Karäil (myspace.com/karaeil) ist mit seinem neuesten Streich erneut am Auftrag Langspielplatte gescheitert und erfreut die ins Grau der Auswechselbarkeit getauchte HipHop Landschaft Österreichs mit einem weiteren Freelease. Und so schlimm ist das gar nicht eine weitere EP zu droppen, entspricht diese Informationseinheit doch den Bedürfnissen dieser medial strapazierten Generation. Mit Wortgewandheit als Markenzeichen und einem souveränen Flow torkelt der vollzeitbetrunkene Lyricist zwischen TrueSchool & Avantgarde. Wobei Punchlines zielsicher auf abstrakte Prosa treffen und uns zu einem PoetrySlam im verdreckten Hinterhof laden. Zur musikalischen Untermalung von Karäils kreativem Output haben Feux, Menunz und Löklo Schard beigetragen. Die Instrumentals sind ebenso vielseitig wie die Spielarten des Protagonisten und reichen von schleppenden Zeitlupen-Rockern bis hin zu Uptempo-Elektronik. Vielseitigkeit und Unkonventionalität definieren „Album Fail“ und sorgen für eine weitere frische Brise deutschsprachiger Rapmusik made in Austria.

the guys are helping out Twit One releasing his beat compilation “Puzzles” on the mysterious AUDDA label; a beat puzzle made of 16 pieces by 16 producers, curated by Twit One with contributions from Suff Daddy, Hulk Hodn, Kankick, Hubert Daviz, Retrogott, Adlib and many more! this will be a limited (500) vinyl only release. Twit One himself & Robert Winter (photography) are in charge of the fresh sleeve design. looking absolutely forward.
