Dexter - Hammuroes by MPMCGN

Nachdem sich Mainloop, Fid Mella und ich mit mehr oder weniger großem Erfolg durch den diesjährigen Beat Fight #2 gekämpft haben - An dieser Stelle sei gesagt: Gratulation zum Finaleinzug, Mella! - wird noch nachgelegt! Erstens gibts hier nach und nach die gesamte Beat Fight Dokumentation online auf Splashmag zum Nachsehen und zweitens wird es auch noch eine Compilation mit Beats der beteiligten Produzenten geben. Dieser Aufgabe hat sich das kölner Label MPM angenommen und wird knapp vor Weihnachten (23.12.) noch ein Vinyl dazu rausballern. Näheres findet ihr auf der MPM Homepage.

Flip x Average übersetzen unter dem Arbeitstitel “Tuesday Classics” wöchentlich jeden Dienstag Nachmittag Rap Klassiker - auch die Beats werden von Flip neu nachgebaut! Wer Tribe Vibes hört dem wird das schon aufgefallen sein… Da sind unter anderem Neuinterpretationen von Biz Markie - Pickin Boogers, Jay Z ft. Memphis Bleek - Coming of Age, Das Efx - They want efx, Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg - Nuthin but a g thang, Smif & Wessun - Bucktown etc gelaufen…

Nachdem die Anzahl der Tracks mitlwerweile Albumlänge erreicht hat und die Nachfrage immer größer wurde entschied man sich das ganze auf einen Tonrträger zu bannen.

Releasedate ist bereits schon der 8.11.2011 mit Elzhi und Band im Hauptprogramm! Fügt sich ganz gut.

This was a tough one. So much good music to choose from. I finally made my choices. LDBK Radio put out their first compilation. Peep it. Some tracks are in the mix. A new artist on the block called Mieux. More stuff by the likes of Jon Phonics, Two Inch Punch Ghostpoet and many more. Couple of remixes - Mobb Deep’s infamous Shook One’s gets a flip. Tokimonsta released her new EP on Brainfeeder called Creature Dreams. Some more stuff by Letherette from the UK via BTS Radio. Debruit flips Jamie Woon, that’s a sureshot.

This time I have Pariah in the interview. After his debut release Orpheus/Detroit Falls on R&S records there’s been much talk about the young producer.
