‘Mini Tollbooth’ is inspired by a novel called Phantom Tollbooth. The film adaptation from 1961 is so beautiful. I like to get lost in these childish worlds of freedom, where everything is possible. This modern fairy tale is about a young boy named Milo who is bored by the world around him. He feels everything is a waste of time. He comes home from school one day to find in his bedroom an anonymous package containing a miniature tollbooth and a map of the Lands Beyond. He takes the map, drives through in his toy car, and instantly finds himself driving on a road to Expectations. Enjoying the ride, he pays no attention to his route and soon becomes lost in the Doldrums, a colorless place where thinking and laughing are not allowed. He is having plenty more adventures like watching Chroma the Great conduct his orchestra in playing the colors of the sunset or meeting The Awful Dynne, a genie who collects noises for Dr. Dischord. – fLako

Dürfte eine sehr gelungene Konzept EP werden. Heute übringes fLako und Swede:art im Nu Spirit Club in Bratislava. Für alle Wiener auf alle Fälle eine Reise Wert. Wers nicht nach Bratislava schafft, kann aber auch gerne bei der Minor Sick “Fremdscham in Reality” Releaseparty im Wirr oder beim Staummtisch, Abby, Kurt und mir im Luftbad vorbeischaun. Bis dahin.

Senz27 - Contact Tape / Ballast EP

Duzz Down San zieht seine Kreise weiter und darf seinen jüngsten Zugang, nämlich SenZ27 herzlich bei uns an Bord willkommen heißen. Am 16.10. werden wir seine neue EP mit dem Titel “Ballast” auf 12″ Vinyl & digital veröffentlichen. Als Vorgeschmack darauf gibt es SenZ’ letzten Release das 27/Contact Tape zum freien Download auf Bandcamp.

ok, manuva wird langsam nervös und spührt die aufregung und vorfreunde… hier schon mal das snippet zum neuen all mighty mos def album the ecstatic. und ich muss zugeben, dass es mich wirklich hoffen lässt. vor allem seine beatauswahl. denn die ist ja bei einam rapalbum für mich immer noch der grundstein, das basement souzusagen. es kann der rapper noch so gut sein, die lyrics noch so auf den punkt, aber wenn mir der beat nicht gefällt wird es bei mir schwer. deswegen hat zB auch das zweite talib album bei mir nicht funktioniert. das mos aldbum wird sehr analog, sehr samplelasstig. teilweise verwendet er minutenlage loops… wie das rechtlich gehen soll, frag ich mich? aber wahrscheinlich kann man sich das clearen heutzutage wieder leisten bei den geringen verkaufszahlen und erwartungen…

FEUX & MIRAC - MASTAPLAN SNIPPET

Weils heute wieder so endlos schirch is draußen brüte ich daheim vorm Laptop und schau, dass mein Desktop wieder frei wird und promotionmäßig was weiter geht.. drum gibts heute wieder ein bissl was in eigener Sache zu posten..

feux (ja genau - das bin ich.) und mirac (das is der da) werden am 18ten April unser erstes gemeinsames Werk “Mastaplan” via DuzzDownSan Rec. in der Kapu in Linz releasen. Um einen Vorgeschmack auf das Werk zu bekommen gibts vorab ein kurzes Snippet..

PS: Farblich find ich passt sich das Cover (fast) super dem Blog an.. vor allem die Linkfarbe. Verbrochen hats Niceei. ;)
