Your favorite producers´ favorite producer, RUN VIE guest 2010 and on top one of my absolute favs if it comes to musicmaking, Dimlite, is finally releasing his new 6Tracker on Now Again / Stones Throw beginning of 2010.

“Summerlings + snugglers…finally some news. The damned, much talked about (by me) 3rd album Prismic Valuta Rising, announced earlier this year, is definitely not coming out as an album. BUT: 6 tunes of it made it on the next Dimlite release on my new home. Tangerine cheesecake. The record’s called Prismic Tops, it will be coming out on Now Again Records (Stones Throw) by the beginning of 2010: Sun-sized Twinkles will be on it, Elbow Flood.. – “Mind you”, these tunes are from the last 2 years, so as of NOW, I’m sitting working on a NEW, ALBUM.. tangerine.. cheese.. cake. Once it’s finished, it will – I can’t keep it a secret – redefine mankind’s perception of the whole universe tangerine cheesecake. Dim”

Heute wurden am Hillbilly-Blog zwei Rartäten gepostet, die man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte:

“Diesmal gibts ein ganz besonderes Tape und zwar zum Gedenken an Werner Geier aka Demon Flowers der diese Woche seinen Todestag hatte. Leider war ich damals noch etwas zu jung um mir die Musicbox bzw. später dann die Tribe Vibes & Dope Beats Sendung mit ihm anzuhören, doch alleine schon wegen der Tribe Vibes Sendung wie es sie heute auf FM4 gibt bin ich ihm schon zu Dank verpflichtet. Es ist nicht selbstverständlich dass es in Österreich eine so gute Hip Hop Sendung im Radio gibt und das schon über einen sooo langen Zeitraum. DANKE Werner Geier!

JR&PH7 - Remix Contest Winner

Ladies & Gents..
few months ago we´ve given away the acapella of JR&PH7´s “Take It To The Streets ft. Iriscience & Planet Asia”  for a remixcontest. well it took us same time to take care of other things like e.g. RUN VIE - but finally we have dug ourselves through the files in our soundcloud dropbox.. one noticeably thing:  a pretty big part couldn´t handle the tempo / flow of the acapella, which is actually not the best attribute of a becoming beatmaker / producer.
anyway- there was one outstanding mix with a fresh beat, good arrangement and ideas and also an ok sound!
To make things short - the winner is young austrian beatmaker Kalifornia Kurt ! Congrats!

His mix will be on the JR&PH7 remix album alongside artists like fLako, Philta, Suff Daddy, Adlib, Brenk, The Clonious and many more! the digital release is scheduled for late 2009!
